In this 2024 Annual Report, we are proud to share how we have and continue to build future-oriented,
trust-based and transformational mutual partnerships used to drive policy reforms, generate and use
evidence for planning and advocacy, improved community and institutional systems to deliver quality
reproductive health information and services, and empowered individuals and communities to realize
their dreams and, to secure the future for the youth.

By this second year of the 5-year programme cycle (2023 – 2027), we gladly report that we have achieved
over 60 per cent of the total number of output targets for the full 5-year programme cycle, in addition
to implementing a restructuring/realignment exercise in the office, occasioned by internal audit and the
need to align structure with form for the new 8th country programme.

Under our reproductive health programme, we highlight the Partnership to End Fistula in Ghana, PEFIG, a
diverse institutional partnership that has seen a doubling in membership (9 to 18 organizational including
private sector and academia), expanded sites for fistula repairs from two to nine (09), almost tripled
number of fistula cases repaired (60 to 168 cases), leveraged over ten times the resources for work on
fistula (from USD 60,000 to over USD 700,000) that includes money to construct new theatre for repair
of fistula in Tamale and a fistula patients holding shelter in Yendi, and has shown a shift from funds to
funding and domestic financing. This partnership has created a movement against obstetrics fistula with
the aim of eradicating it by 2030 in Ghana. Similarly, the Midwifery Education and Practice Centre of
Excellence Programme with the Ministry of Health and Midwifery Associations will serve as a foundation
for quality training of tutors/faculty and for improvement in quality of training and practice for midwives.
