May 5 is the internationally recognised day for highlighting the work of midwives. The 2015 Day of the Midwife is scheduled to be celebrated in the Takoradi Municipality, Western Region under the theme: “Midwives: for a better tomorrow”. 
 

The First Lady HE Lordina Mahama and the Deputy Minister of Health Dr Victor Bampoe will grace the occasion.
