UNFPA Ghana has released ten (10) new publications which chronicles some of the work of the Country Office ensured in 2018. As a sequel to the Annual Report, the documents provide more detail for the specific interventions and various topics as follows:

 1. UNFPA Ghana’s Compact of Commitment: Succinctly summarizes the CO’s areas of operations, garnished with statistics on current issues we are dealing with, and the universal approaches we are employing to achieve results.

 2. Promoting Rights and Choices through Family Planning: Discusses our work in promoting rights and choices in a strategic way that recognizes and gives credit to our partners, donors and individuals who enable us to sustain our programming in Family Planning.

3. Engaging with the First Lady To Help Girls Realize their Dreams: Documents some of our engagements with the Office of the First Lady of Ghana; a high profile Partner in our work with adolescents.

 4. Engaging with the Second Lady To Protect the Rights of Women and End GBV: Speaks to the CO’s engagements with the Office of the Second Lady of Ghana on SGBV issues, through the establishment of CoPASH (Coalition of People Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence & Harmful Practices) supported by UNFPA

 5. Igniting the Youth Potential by Inclusion (The YoLe Fellowship Program): Zeroes in on the CO’s commitment to walking the talk of ‘youth inclusion’ as codified in the SG’s Youth Strategy (Youth 2030) The document reflects on the impact of the YoLe program in just 2 months of operation; developing the capacity of young people to become leaders in the SRHR and international ecosystem.

6. Improving Maternal Health Outcomes: Situates the CO’s work in maternal health as a way of facilitating safe deliveries, healthy babies and healthy mothers

7. Positioning Faith-Based Organizations as Agents of Change: Describes the proceedings of the landmark national faith based conference where religious leaders were brought on board the SRHR train. 

8. Demystifying Fistula and Restoring Dignity in women: Focuses on obstetric fistula, and the work of UNFPA in bringing succour and restoring dignity to the victims

9. Leaving No One Behind through Direct Community Interventions: Chronicles some of the field/grassroots interventions and engagements of the CO with vulnerable groups and through which the support of community members and traditional gatekeepers were leveraged to address their issues 

10. 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence: Reports on the innovative ways the CO observed the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence in 2018

We believe these publications will serve as relevant documents to inspire greater efforts for all of us towards the achievement of results, particularly in this year of celebrating the twin anniversaries of our agenda (ICPD) and our agency (UNFPA).
