The study aims to provide guidance on issues, approaches and methodologies that can be useful in ensuring that programmes are culturally sensitive. It also includes cultural perspectives on issues related to: marriage age, wife inheritance, child slavery, unwanted children, ritual servitude (trokosi), female porters (kayayee), female genital mutilation/cutting, HIV/AIDS prevention, domestic violence, and discussion of sexual and reproductive health issues.
