News of the re-appointment of Dr. Natalia Kanem as UNFPA Executive Director for another term couldn’t have come at a better time, as it coincides with the honour she was conferred with in recognition of her leadership in promoting the rights of women and girls across the world at the 1^st Celebration of the International Day for People of African Descent in Costa Rica.
