Event:  International Youth Day

 

Date: The official commemorative event to celebrate International Youth Day in Ghana on Friday, 11 August 2017

 

Location:  Castle Gardens Accra, Greater Accra

 

Description: The International Youth Day is commemorated annually on the 12th of August. It is a day dedicated to celebrating young people’s contribution to development. The 2017 celebration is under the theme “Youth Building Peace” and is dedicated to celebrating young people’s influences to conflict prevention and transformation as well as inclusion, social justice, and sustainable peace.

His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah and UNFPA Acting Representative Ms. Erika Goldson are schedule to interact with the Young delegates from across the country.
