Youth Leadership & Participation: Initiatives, such as the Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship, are designed to enhance the capabilities of young people, empowering them to serve as advocates and leaders in their respective communities. Fellows receive extensive training, mentorship, and practical experience, all directed towards fostering positive advancements in sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Adolescent Pregnancy: Strategies aimed at the reduction of elevated adolescent pregnancy rates in Ghana include educational programs, improved access to contraceptive options, and comprehensive community involvement. These initiatives are designed to minimize the negative health, social, and economic impacts of adolescent pregnancy on young women and their families.
Empowerment: Empowerment of young people to achieve their full potential is facilitated through the provision of youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services, education, and leadership opportunities. UNFPA Ghana ensures youth perspectives are incorporated into policy and programme development.
