Health is wealth. A healthy mind lives in a healthy body. Exercising a day can keep the doctor away. Exercise for a foot life. These are but a few of the sayings that encourage us to exercise.

To kick off a series of activities for the commemoration of the 78th United Nations Day in Ghana, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in collaboration with the United Nations in Ghana, held a health walk to physically engage personnel in the launch of the celebration.

The walk began early on Saturday morning at the State House in Accra. Participants proceeded to walk through principal streets of the city before returning to the starting point to engage in some aerobic exercises.

The theme for this year’s celebration for Ghana is “Accelerating action towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda: Ghana’s contributions for a peaceful, prosperous, progressive and sustainable future”.

It afforded staff and personnels of the UN an opportunity to network and familiarize themselves outside of officialdom for the common good of humanity; promoting peace, prosperity and respect for human rights.
