Several measures have been put in place to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Ghana, including the protection of the vulnerable in our communities, especially women and girls. The  Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service with funding from UNFPA and the government of Canada initiated a campaign to prevent the various forms of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and harmful practices especially during the COVID-19 period and its implications.
