Several  measures have been put in place to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Ghana,including the protection of the vulnerable in our communities, especially women and girls. The Domestic Voilence and Victims Suppotrs Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service with funding from UNFPA and the government of Canada initiated  a campaign to prevent the various forms of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and harmful practices especially during the COVID-19 period and its implications.
