Event: International Day of the Midwife.

Location: Jubilee Park – Kumasi Municipality, Ashanti Region.
Description: May 5 is the internationally recognised day for highlighting the work of midwives. The 2018 Day of the Midwife is scheduled to be celebrated in the Kumasi Municipality, Ashanti Region under the theme: “Midwives leading the Way with Quality Care”.
As part of the commemorations commendable practicing midwives would be awarded from the ten (10) administrative regions in Ghana and the Four (4) Teaching Hospitals.
The First Lady HE Rebecca Akufo Addo and the Deputy Minister of Health Hon Tina Mensah will grace the occasion.
