RFQ No UNFPA/GHA/RFQ/24/001
UNFPA hereby solicits a quotation for the services of professional development workshops for its Youth Fellowship Programme outlined in the service requirement in Section II below as well as the Terms of
Reference (ToR) Attached. This Request for Quotation is open to shortlisted legally-constituted companies that can provide the requested services and have legal capacity to perform in the country, or through an authorized representative.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
CONSULTANCY FOR CAPACITY BUILDING SESSIONS
The United Nations’ 2030 Youth Strategy calls on UN agencies to expand and replicate in UN entities successful human resource modalities for attracting young talents such as the Young Professional Programme, Management Reassignment Programme, Fellowship programmes and UN youth volunteers. In view of this, the Country Office launched the Youth Leaders Fellowship Programme. The Fellowship aligns with UNFPA’s Global Strategy for Adolescents and Youth that puts young people (their talents, hopes, perspectives and unique needs) at the very centre of sustainable development. The one-year programme builds the capacity of young people to be effective leaders in UNFPA mandate areas as well as provides them hands on experience to prepare them for their future work.
Proposed Activity
Professional development is an integral component of the YoLe Fellowship Programme and is important to the development and growth of each Fellow. As part of the capacity building process, the Fellows will
be taken through sessions to strengthen their networking skills and help them to better manage their emotions and that of others in a professional space. These workshops will come in the form of weekly /
monthly sessions covering topics such as, Emotional Intelligence and the Aristotle Principle. It is expected to build the Fellows’ knowledge, confidence and skills in the art of networking and socialisation specially in the work place which will help them navigate the real world as leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs (start-ups) or join the workforce after completing the programme. The workshop is expected to last for two (2) to three (3) days
Purpose of Consultancy
UNFPA is therefore seeking an organization that is passionate about the growth and development of young people in Ghana and who has a proven experience in developing and leading professional development
workshops for the modern-day young people.
Proposed Deliverables
● Tailored curriculum from January to May 2024.
● Delivery of curriculum using innovative approaches.
Trainer Qualifications and Experience Required
● At least 10 years of continuously progressive professional experience.
● Experience in holding professional development workshops in Ghana.
● Experience in professional curriculum development.
● Experience working with international and local organizations.
● Ability to tailor curriculum to meet the programme’s need.
● Experience working around youth in the area of leadership and international relations, the Aristotle Principle and Emotional Intelligence.
● Must have expertise in professional training and leadership or capacity development.
● Fluency in oral and written English as well as computer literate.

III Content of quotations
Quotations should be submitted via email to: ghana.procurement@unfpa.org
a) Submission should be in response to the requirements outlined in the Terms of Reference (ToR) attached and the service requirements in Section II above.
b) Price quotation, should be submitted in the format of the Price Quotation Form below and it should be on the company’s letterhead and both parts must be signed by the company’s relevant authority
and submitted to ghana.procurement@unfpa.org
IV Instructions for submission
Submission should be prepared based on the guidelines set forth in Section II above, and sent to ghana.procurement@unfpa.org no later than: 16:00 hours of 19th February, 2024.
E.g. The file (s) should be named as follows: RFQ for YoLe Training - Emotional Intelligence. Any submission that does not conform to the instructions above will be disqualified. Do not copy any other person in your email when submitting your quotation, else you will be disqualified.
